Which version should each person use?

• Office team and project managers — the web app at app.brcks.io. Full project setup, plots and rooms, variations, invoicing, reporting and the client portal.
• Site managers and supervisors — the mobile app. Photos, snags, site diary entries, 360° tours and sign-off from the job, offline-tolerant and quick to use in gloves.
• Subcontractors and trades — WhatsApp only. They message the project number the way they already do; BRCKS files it. No download, no login, no seat cost.
• Clients — the free client portal in a browser. They see approved updates, photos and variations to sign off.

Requirements and updates

The mobile app supports current versions of iOS and Android and updates through the App Store and Google Play. The web app runs in any modern browser — Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox — with no install and no plugins. Everything syncs to the same account, so a snag raised on site is visible in the office before the crew has left the room.

Installing it on the site team's phones

Rolling BRCKS out to a site team takes minutes, not a training day. Send the App Store or Google Play link to your supervisors, have them sign in with the email you invited, and the projects they are on appear immediately. There is no configuration on the device and no admin console to work through. If someone changes phone, they sign in again and nothing is lost, because the record lives in the project rather than on the handset.

Anyone who only needs to send updates — most subcontractors, most of the time — does not need the app at all. They message the project's WhatsApp number and BRCKS files what they send. That is the single biggest reason adoption sticks on real sites.

Working on site with poor signal

Basements, plant rooms, stairwells and half-built structures are where signal disappears, and that is exactly where photographs matter. The mobile app tolerates weak connections: capture a photo and a note, and it sends when the phone has signal again. WhatsApp behaves the same way for anyone using that route. Nobody has to walk out to the road to file a snag.

Accounts, seats and who can see what

You invite your core team as paid seats from the web app and remove them the same way. Subcontractors and trades never consume a seat, and the client portal is free, so the number you pay for is simply how many people run projects from the office or as site managers. Clients see only what you publish to the portal — approved updates, photos and variations — never internal costs or messages.

Signing in for the first time

Whichever route you use, the login is the same account. Open the app or app.brcks.io, enter the email you were invited on, and the projects you have been added to appear immediately — there is no workspace to configure and no import to run. If you were set up by our team, your first project, plots and rooms are already there, so the first thing you do is send a message rather than fill in a form.

Getting help

If something is not installing or a login is not working, email [email protected] and a human replies — usually the same day, often the founder. New releases and fixes are published on the changelog every week, so you can see exactly what changed in the version you just installed.
